Job Role Overview
The role involves conducting detailed reviews of medical records and claims to support fraud, waste, and abuse investigations. Candidates will prepare written medical review summaries, research relevant information, and apply their understanding of coding conventions, reimbursement methodologies, fraud schemes, and compliance requirements. The job requires staying updated with federal and state coding regulations, identifying suspicious claim patterns, and contributing to program integrity initiatives. Selected candidates may also participate in special internal projects.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be graduates in any discipline. CPC certification is mandatory for this role. Candidates with 0 to 3 years of experience in medical coding are eligible, with preference given to those with E/M experience. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, integrity, teamwork, and flexibility to work in any shift. The position is strictly work-from-office.
