Analytical Method Development Scientist – Responsibilities
- Design, develop and validate analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates and finished products using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR and dissolution testing.
- Optimize existing analytical methods to improve sensitivity, specificity and throughput while reducing cost and time.
- Prepare and review method validation protocols and reports in compliance with ICH and regulatory guidelines.
- Troubleshoot analytical issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with R&D scientists to support product development and stability studies.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure data integrity.
- Train and mentor junior analysts on analytical techniques and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams from R&D through Quality Assurance.
Eligibility – Analytical Method Development Scientist
Candidates should have:
- Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in analytical method development and validation in a regulated environment.
- Proficiency in chromatographic techniques including HPLC and GC and related software such as Empower and Chromeleon.
- Strong understanding of ICH guidelines, USP/EP/JP monographs and regulatory expectations.
- Strong problem-solving and independent working abilities.
- Good documentation, data interpretation and communication skills.
