Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex, multi-step organic synthesis reactions from milligram to gram scales.
- Plan efficient synthetic routes and optimize reaction conditions with accuracy, reproducibility, and scientific rigor.
- Perform air- and moisture-sensitive reactions, including handling pyrophoric reagents and coupling reactions.
- Purify intermediates and final compounds using flash/gravity chromatography, crystallization, distillation, and related purification techniques.
- Interpret analytical data including NMR, LC-MS and HPLC to confirm compound identity and purity.
- Deliver target compounds within project timelines while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, including eLN/paper documentation, experimental conclusions and supporting analytical data.
- Prepare technical reports and project updates.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, laboratory safety, EHS guidelines and quality standards.
- Demonstrate hands-on proficiency in ChemDraw, SciFinder, Reaxys, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Electronic Laboratory Notebook (eLN) systems.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity, intellectual property protection and confidentiality.
