Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesis, purification, and characterization of novel intermediates.
- Ability to lead 2-3 chemists.
- Deliver small to large quantities of novel chemical entities for drug discovery.
- Work collaboratively in a team to drive chemistry projects forward.
- Responsible for safe laboratory practices.
Qualification:
- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry or related field or M. Pharma
Experience
- 3-10 years of industry experiences with any leading CRO organization.
Technical and functional Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of basic and advance organic chemistry.
- Good Knowledge of functional group conversion and multiple step synthesis.
- Good knowledge retrosynthetic analysis and designing of project.
- Expertise in leading a small team of 1-3 chemists along with own-reactions.
- Good expertise in handling various pyrophoric reactions.
- Expertise in TLC, column purification, extraction.
- Good knowledge of (Prep)-HPLC, and analysing NMR, IR, Mass Spectrometry data.
Behavioural and Soft Skills
- Always adhere to safe laboratory practices.
- Multi-tasking (i.e. good in chemical ordering and maintaining lab inventory).
- Enthusiasm to create a dynamic research environment.
- Always stretch when project challenge increases.
- Excellent knowledge in computer (MS-word/Excel/Power point) and structure drawing (Chem Draw/ISIS) and recording in electronic lab notebook.
- Excellent in literature search using Reaxys, Chemdraw etc.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
