Job description:

• Should be strong in Java, Java8, Unix, SQL and PL/SQL
• Strong in problem solving with troubleshooting and debugging
• Database: Stored Procedure and Query Optimization knowledge
• Effective verbal & written communication skills
• Should be good in ITIL process like Knowledge Management, Incident Management and Ticket Management
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems
• Hands on experience using Unix commands, writing shell scripts, building small tools (non-negotiable this will be assessed in the interview)
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, out of the box thinker, ability to connect dots when presented with disjoint data set (non-negotiable – this will be assessed in the interview)
• Experience with working on open-source tools and libraries.
• Ability to multitask or switch context on short notice
• Identify, investigate, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Working experience on scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M etc.
• Detail oriented with project tracking and documentation, ability to write test cases and migration plan
• Basic SQL knowledge and ability to write simple SQL queries
• Understanding of existing Java infrastructure, ability to identify bottlenecks and suggest changes etc.
